WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO RE-SETTLE INTO A SUB/RURAL SETTING ?
As the Bay Area stretches its boundaries, this project was also an opportunity to rethink the family structure, the location of home in relation to daily activities, surrounding context, construction, as well as financing. Forced to leave their urban lifestyle to a more affordable environment, the sub/rural house seeks to redefine and reveal the latent potentials in the ordinary single family home.
