Context
Wanderlust emerged from a desire to create a moment of pause within the city's relentless pace. The installation draws on the tradition of the flâneur — the urban wanderer — translating that spirit into a physical form that responds to light, shadow, and the movement of people through space.
Challenge
Designing for a dynamic public environment required balancing structural durability with visual lightness. The work needed to hold its own against the scale of the surrounding city while remaining intimate enough to invite individual engagement.
Approach
The design process began with an extensive study of pedestrian movement patterns and sight lines across the site. Material selection prioritized longevity and low maintenance without sacrificing warmth or tactility.
After the artwork was confirmed in our 3D building and site models, Illustrator files were developed with the Media production team for final production and installation. The result is a piece that feels both rooted in its place and open to interpretation.
