Context

The Hoover Branch Library will sit at the heart of a neighborhood that has long advocated for return of a branch library after 50 years of absence. This due diligence study examines the potential to locate the library along a historic commercial transit route and leverage the site as a potential civic anchor.

Challenge

The study will also address the challenge of a public library in an extant supermarket within a constrained site. Questions of access, hours, noise, and shared infrastructure required careful analysis.

Approach

Update and supplement existing due diligence assessments of a supermarket for a change of use. The scope of work includes environmental site assessments, facility condition evaluations, roof assessments, pest and vector inspections, and other related professional services necessary to support the due diligence process for the potential acquisition and adaptive reuse of the property as a public library.
